Show me your drawers!

…your desk drawers, silly!  I’m fascinated by drawers and cubbyholes, and the forgotten treasures that are stashed within.  I also love seeing how people organize their desk drawers, be it muffin tins, wooden boxes, or the “I know it looks insane, but I know where everything is” system.  With that said, I would love if you would show me your drawers!  Send me an email, and I would eventually love to feature a series where we all peek into each other’s inspirational drawers.

As a visual person, I need to see all of my supplies and colors “framed” clearly!

I’m scared to show you my drawers. They are not that nice. See this is why they are drawers, to be private and messy. Kind of like closets, you know?

I still think it is a really good idea and I can’t wait to see inside everyone’s stuff. Maybe I will send a pic of mine. Although, you would be bored and maybe a little horrified.

We share a fondness for the aesthetic pleasures that come with fine trinkets ordered in a not so orderly fashion :-)

This is a great idea, Grace! I wish I had a full card catalog system like Esox Lucias, so envious. I could really put it to good use!

Alas, I only have one beautiful wooden card drawer from my grandfather’s office desk, circa 1930. I have used it quite a bit as a prop in my jewelry photog. Um, you kinda know how I feel about wood… and aged wood with a human connection is absolutely the best! :~)

    Grace,
What an interesting post. I like the first curved drawer with the color pencils. The card catalogue drawers are small and like the Chinese Herb cabinates! It speaks to the nosy part of myself and some of us, that we are curious of it’s content. I saw in a movie ‘The Collector’, he had his butterflies in a glass incased drawer. I thought that was unexpected.
    Well done,
    Duc

@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
