At the beach this weekend, I could feel everyone sadly saying goodbye to the call of the sea (at least for those without wetsuits). To keep my workspace inspired, I found a few shells (fine, I bought them at the seashell shop by the shore). One works beautifully as a repurposed catch-all for my paperclips. It makes me smile when I now open my desk drawer.
The seasons have provided eternal inspiration for mankind, and now as summer fades into fall (forgive me, as So Cal is a bit slow on the seasonal uptake), what inspires you this season? Crisp air? Fall fruit? Argyle? Share your inspirations to inspire us all this fall!

So many things are inspiring this fall. Time to slow down and enjoy weekend auctions, leaf peeping and crisp air. This weekend, we were priveledged to be vendors at an art fair that was outside. I realized how wonderful it was to just sit, chat, relax and truly breathe in the autumn air. Next weekend, it’ll be slipping on a cozy sweater and exploring the pumpkin patch.

Lovely idea for a paper clip holder! I’m in SoCal too, so I understand the lag in the seasons. I look forward to the bright autumn days when there is a bite of chill in the air but lots of sun. I also love it when the Santa Ana winds blow in, as inconvenient as it may be. They’re so wild and fun.

Grace, Fall is in the air. We got the first rain in San Jose last Saturday. It was nice to wake up and discovered that the earth was wet. I was so excited for my plants. Have been liking the change of season. Love the overcast cloudy sky and subdue light. Fall colors are not distinct here, but was happy to find fallen leaves here and there. While driving to Yosemite, I had a few ideas for my art projects. Hope the cold weather will inspire me even more. : )

Thank you for sharing! Your inspirations are all so wonderful
The light nip of chill in the air, the slight winds — it all brings that hope of change and unexpected adventures.

i’m in the land of four distinct seasons and what’s inspiring me right now are tweeds, plaids, anything wool, the color of the changing leaves, gardens that have gone by, but still have one or two straggling flowers left on the vines, and the smell of concord grapes and woodsmoke in the air. the last two are hard to find in the city, but i’ve found a secret spot which has both
happy fall!

That is such a cute idea. I want to see a complete pic of your office so that I can copy you. I am trying to clean mine up and make it a more inviting space.
