To my American friends, happy Labor Day — may it be filled with delicious picnics, celebration of fleeting summer nights, and sheer relaxation! I made my favorite summer drink – Ginger Lemonade – this weekend for family and friends to sip, and the easy recipe for you to enjoy can be found after the jump.
I’ve been productive this holiday weekend (sans taking pictures), and this upcoming week, I’m very excited to share a before/after project, fun DIY wall art project, and of course, a fare of vintage inspiration! Happy summer to everyone!
Ginger Lemonade Recipe
Ingredients (serves four):
2 cups of lemon juice (fresh-squeezed is preferable)
8 cups of water
1.5 cups of sugar (can be adjusted depending upon how sweet you like lemonade — this is moderate)
7 thin slices of fresh ginger
Directions:
Bring the water, sugar, and ginger slices to a boil. Take the pot off the stove, and let it cool for approximately 5 minutes. Then pour in the lemon juice, and in about 30 minutes, take out the ginger slices (you can let the ginger sit for longer for additional flavor). Put your lemonade in the fridge to chill, add a few ice cubes, and enjoy!
