Turn your vintage treasures into planters!

I noticed today that I have turned several random vintage treasures around my house into bona fide planters (will post some of these pictures tomorrow…it’s dark now and flash makes the plants look scaaary), and so I’d like to share with you some wonderful inspirations of a book I have from that interesting lil’ island called Japan.  Ms. Tajima of “Pop Bonsai” fame broke through all conventions of bonsai “rules” and created her own version of bonsai that everyone can enjoy.  How can we ever look at any water-retaining object the same again?!

What sorts of non-planters do you have housing your plants?  I’d love to hear your ideas!!

I was just talking with my friend about this last week at the resturant. Don’t remember how we got on the topic really, they brought it up. I do recall eating a excellent steak salad with ranch on it. I digress…
