The lonely 1930s Remington typewriter…

…is looking for a writer to call his very own. It appears that the original owner of this 1930s Remington Rand antique typewriter was busy – very busy – and never used the typewriter to write a sonnet, love letter, or novel.

Originally designed for businesspeople, writers, and teachers, Remington Rand forged the path for portable typewriters, and they believed that the Remington Rand Model 1 would be “without question” the best typewriter on the market. Were the right? Looking by the shiny exterior, eager antique buttons, and thoughtful design, I would say yes!

antique typewriter remington rand model 1 1930s

Produced through the 1930s to the 1940s, the Remington Rand Model 1 was very popular; this antique typewriter is from the early 1930s production, as its front is straight, instead of the minor curve that followed with later models.

This was the little antique typewriter that could, and he simply wants a loving home to call his own. Answer his call at our Etsy shop here.

@chels I know what you mean, its hard to find good help these days. People now days just don’t have the work ethic they used to have. I mean consider whoever wrote this post, they must have been working hard to write that good and it took a good bit of their time I am sure. I work with people who couldn’t write like this if they tried, and getting them to try is hard enough as it is.
